The system_data save found in the system folder holds the NG+ data and allows the new background after completing the game and new game + option in the main menu so I included them just incase. From what I can tell the saves will work independently from the universal_data.save found in the gameplay folder and it doesn't seem to matter if it's there or not. If the save is in a wrong folder it won't display in game. A slot2 save must be copied to the slot2 folder for it to work. Slot 3 = fourth save in the in-game list, second manual saveĬopied saves MUST match slots in order to work. Slot 2 = third save in the in-game list, first manual save Slot 1 = second save in the in-game list, second auto save Slot 0 = first save in the in-game list, first auto save Save location: Documents/My Games/FINAL FANTASY XV/Steam/random numbers/savestorage/gameplay Turn it off by right clicking the game in your library and go to Properties > Updates Tab > Steam Cloud > Disable Steam Cloud sync.

Leaving it on will override locally copied saves with cloud saves. First and foremost disable Steam Cloud sync with FFXV.
